Packaging case study

Colourette Colourtint, reimagined

A packaging and visual identity refresh for a Filipino cosmetics brand, moving it from bold and loud to sophisticated and intentional.

Self-initiated concept. Not a client project.

Scope
Packaging redesign, dieline, mockups
Year
2026
  • The problemThe packaging no longer matched the aesthetic of the market the brand was speaking to, and the physical product and the digital presence felt like two different brands.
  • The approachA monochromatic palette and a stronger type hierarchy, so the box reads as premium on a shelf and still holds up as a small product thumbnail.
  • The outcomePackaging that mirrors the brand's shift toward high-performance, skin-centric beauty. A concept, so there are no sales numbers to report.
Concept: a pink Colourtint box with the name set large in red, beside the tint bottle
Old design: Colourtint lip oils on a pink set with the previous bold packaging
Drag to compare the old packaging with the concept.

I started out designing ads for a gadget shop, learning what makes people stop scrolling. Then I got hooked on what happens next: the listing they read, the box they open, the post they share. Seven years later, I design for consumer brands, from the box to the post, so they look like one brand everywhere they sell, with print-ready files to match.

7+ years of design. Clients around the world.

Branding case study

Ivore Letter House

A visual identity and social media system for a bespoke typewritten letter and stationery brand, built to feel timeless and premium.

Role
Graphic designer (brand identity and social media)
Timeline
2026
Tools
Illustrator, Canva
The problem

What the brand needed

  • Vintage + modernThe brand blends vintage charm with modern sentiment and needed a look that holds both.
  • One systemBrand communications needed to stay consistent across every touchpoint.
  • Premium toneA timeless, premium feel that reinforces the bespoke service.

The process

How I got there

  1. ResearchStudied the brand story and its audience, vintage stationery and typewritten letters, and how boutique letter and gift brands present themselves online.
  2. DirectionExplored a few ways to balance vintage and modern, then chose the most restrained one: typewriter type on textured ivory paper, a palette of warm grey, burgundy and black, and a wax seal as the signature mark.
  3. DesignBuilt the visual identity, then extended it into brand guidelines and social media assets.
  4. HandoffDelivered brand guidelines, social media content and mockups.

The solution

The final work

Visual identity, brand guidelines, social media content and mockups, set in typewriter type on textured ivory paper with a burgundy wax seal as the signature mark.

Three Ivore Letter House social media posts: a launch announcement with a sealed envelope, a typed letter to the reader, and a list of letter packages
The outcome

What was delivered

  • 3 deliverablesBrand guidelines, social media content and mockups.
  • 2026Year delivered, as listed in my portfolio.

My design philosophy

Clear first. Pretty second. Consistent always.

01

Clarity

If a viewer cannot tell what it is in three seconds, the design is not done.

02

Consistency

One system of color, type and spacing across every place the brand appears.

03

Handoff

Organized, named, print-ready files so your team or printer never has to ask.

How I work

From brief to final files

  1. 1

    Brief

You tell me the goal, audience and deadline.

  2. 2

    Direction

Quick mood and layout options to pick from.

  3. 3

    Design

Full build, with two revision rounds included.

  4. 4

    Handoff

Organized files, ready for print or upload.

What you get

  • A consistent lookOne set of colors, fonts and layouts across channels.
  • Organized filesNamed layers, exported sizes and print-ready PDFs.
  • Clear communicationUpdates on schedule, so you are never left guessing.
  • Room to growTemplates your team can reuse for the next campaign.
